Brantham Playgroup – Logo & Character Illustration

As both a parent and a designer, this project for Brantham Playgroup was especially close to my heart. Inspired by my own young children, I created a pair of playful, friendly character illustrations—one boy and one girl—using Adobe Illustrator. These cheerful figures were designed to reflect the warmth and imagination found in early years environments.
Building on the personality of these characters, I developed a new logo design that feels welcoming, modern and child-focused—while staying versatile across signage, uniforms, stationery, and digital use. The colour palette and shapes were carefully chosen to appeal to both children and parents, while remaining professional and easily reproducible.
This project was a rewarding opportunity to blend personal inspiration with professional design. Drawing from the world of my own children, I was able to create something that feels both heartfelt and functional—capturing the spirit of early childhood while delivering a clear, adaptable identity for the playgroup.
