Design is one of the most important aspects of any business, whether it is a small business or a large corporation. Good design can help a business to stand out from its competitors and become a market leader. It can also help it create a strong brand identity that communicates the company's values and ethos to its customers, creating a positive image for the business.
As Rose Calendars' sole in-house designer between 1998 and 2020, I was able to contribute to the company's success on the road to becoming the UK's leading business calendar publisher and manufacturer. Aside from designing the 100+ award-winning business calendars each year, I also worked on digital and print marketing campaigns and a complete re-design of their brand identity.

Rose Calendars manufacture calendars of the highest quality in a range of formats suitable for any business to use as a promotional tool. The existing logo looked dated and did not translate well on product or at smaller sizes. The brief was to design something more modern that addressed these issues.

Step by step drawing process - how to re-draw and create an iconic simplified brand image of a Rose using Adobe Illustrator CC.
The combination of a strong typeface with the new Rose icon resulted in a powerful logo that worked well at smaller sizes and is very adaptable to a variety of different media.
